The Food and Drug Administration (Taiwan FDA) has recently discovered a new synthetic material that contains Mephedrone, commonly known as “Miaow Miaow”, and it has caused multiple deaths in European countries.
Mephedrone, 4-methylmethcathinone (4-MMC), triggers feelings like excitement and happiness as methamphetamine and ecstasy do, with a shorter duration to make users want to take more. It’s commonly known as Miaow Miaow, Meow, MCAT, or M-Cat. According to research results, Mephedrone causes severe vasoconstriction, heart attack, arrhythmia, anxiety, hallucination, and seizure.
Foreign data indicates that Mephedrone was exported from China to Europe, Australia, and New Zealand during 2008. So far, there have been multiple deaths that were caused by this drug. A British girl took a pill containing Ketamine and Mephedrone, and died within hours; another British male hallucinated that bugs were biting his body, and ended up tearing his testicles off after using this drug. England, Germany, and Sweden have already taken legal measures to patrol on these drugs. In Taiwan, there hasn’t been any abused drug case, and because Mephedrone is not of medical use, it has been included as drug to be controlled. If drug abuse occurs, the Taiwan FDA will suggest the Ministry of Justice to list it in drug control. The Taiwan FDA calls on all not to risk your precious life for curiosity.

衛生署食品藥物管理局近日從地方法院送驗之藥粒中，首次檢出含Mephedrone成分之新興合成物質，俗稱「喵喵」，已在歐洲許多國家發生多起死亡案例，特別提醒國人注意。
Mephedrone之化學名為4-methylmethcathinone(4-MMC)，施用後有欣快、興奮等作用，會產生類似甲基安非他命與搖頭丸的效果，但因作用時間短，故施用者會不斷追加劑量。它的別名包括Miaow Miaow(喵喵)、Meow、MCAT、M-Cat等。根據研究報告指出，Mephedrone會造成嚴重的血管收縮、心臟病發作、心律不整、焦慮、幻覺、妄想、痙攣等副作用。
依據國外資料顯示，Mephedrone是在2008年間，由中國輸出至歐洲及澳洲、紐西蘭等地區。目前已造成多起死亡個案。有一名英國女孩吃了一顆混有Ketamine與Mephedrone的藥物，數小時後不幸身亡；另有1名英國男性使用後18個小時，開始出現幻覺，認為有蟲在身上爬並且不斷啃咬，最後竟把睪丸扯下，導致大出血。近來英國、德國、瑞典等國家已將其加強管理。國內目前尚未出現濫用案例，且因Mephedrone不具醫療用途，故未列入管制藥品管理，如果濫用情形擴大，有管制必要，將建議法務部先列為毒品管制。食品藥物管理局呼籲民眾，千萬不要因一時好奇而誤用，可能賠上一條寶貴生命。

還是應該說為了牟取最高利益並藉由毒品來減輕現代人社會壓力所造成的壓力呢？
政府官員可以好好考慮高薪聘請這些人進實驗室，
看看能不能搞出個什麼超強抗體來抵抗這些莫名其妙的怪病
